The tape doesn‘t seem to contain electronic material, but simply a recording of a violin solo. But in fact it is the ideal of a violin solo, which was achieved through digital manipulation. To achieve such perfection in reality is impossible for several reasons.
Perfection is the subject of this piece.
There is a connection to the urge to perfect, always unfulfilled, in the interpretation of intentionally complex instrumental music.
Here it is done!
There is a connection to the tendency to "Make It Sound Nicer" in recording studios, and there is also a connection to some primitive forms of electronic music which wanted to be rid of the realization problems of serial music.
And finally, there is - as a result to some extent - an unequal dialogue between the electronic violin and the real violin.
